June and Jason’s Survival Guide to Divorce is a comedy about two people trying to get divorced… ‘trying’ being the operative word. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for you, but let’s just say it’d take the end of the world to get those to back together…. Click here to view the promo reel.

The show opened on October 24th, 2018 and had a full production including a sold out extended run in the 65th Anniversary season of The Naples Players located at the Sugden Theater in Naples Florida.

June and Jason’s went through a year-long workshop process as part of The Naples Players initiative to launch new works through their staged readings. The play was performed at two different readings with audience talk-back segments after the production. By time the play was produced, it had a loyal following of audience members anxious to see it fully realized.

After the first two weeks, the show was extended and completely sold out for the entirety of its run. It continues to hold the box office record for one of the most successful show in the black box theater at the Sugden Theater. I’d like to add that in the 65 years of The Naples Players, they had never done an original work prior to June and Jason’s.

Stage and Costumes: The show can be done in proscenium or three quarter, single set, and costume changes are minimal.

Summary: This is a lighthearted, goofy comedy about a very real topic: divorce. With the theme of “Love is worth fighting for,” at its core, June and Jason’s Survival Guide to Divorce will make you laugh, cry, and cheer. Click here to read a sample.

Afterlife of the Rich and Famous

Afterlife of the Rich and Famous is a convoluted, dark comedy about what happens to the our dearly departed celebrities after they take their final bow. The play follows the story of Alexander Lewis, Hollywood’s golden boy, as he destroys all meaningful relationships in the pursuit of his dreams of fame… and then dies.

The show was produced by Let’s Put On A Show Productions (now changed to the Studio Players) at the Golden Gate Community Center and opened on October 19th, 2013. The run extended past it’s original end date of November 2nd with sold out productions in the last three weeks.

Summary: “"Afterlife" tells the story of up and coming action movie star who is struggling to deal with his newfound fame and success, and dealing via alcohol and pills. He takes too many one night, overdoses and wakes up dead, if that makes sense. The script draws on a rich vein of influences in American culture, notably "Damn Yankees" and "It's a Wonderful Life," with its emphasis on the choices people make, how they affect the world around them, and "what ifs" in people's lives.”
